"Art" is an everlasting topic causing discussions, just like that of "Inheritance and Innovation" does.
Seven groups of young artists, graduated from academies of fine arts, have received a good technical training and enjoyed the academic baptism. With an open mind, they blend resources and interesting points of arts and usher in a new trend with distinguished style of major academy. There is no sign of prominent cultural symbols and profound social scenes pursued by artists of last generation. More about their works is a representation of visualized personal experience as well as memory about cultures. The presentation stated above is more personal and confidential.
Their works will present almost no experience of déjà vu. Even though there is involvement of history and of social literatures, they will harmonize through blending and juxtaposition, thus achieving a precise expression by brushwork filled with rich feeling.
Conferring it a name “Reconstruction of Memories", we hold an expectation that viewers can detect the delicate touching between painters' minds and paintings, also the complicated mixture of existing memories and memories to be encoded.

2014年3月22日下午15:00，“绘心撰忆”展览在北京空间画廊开幕，由他们艺术小组（赖圣予、杨晓钢）、薛堃、宋若华、张文荣、李易纹、高一斐、陈家业七组年轻艺术家组成展览团队。策展人朱小钧介绍，七组年轻艺术家都是在当代油画艺术创作中有着自我思考和情感表达的，此次的联袂展出必将带给观众视觉上的新鲜体验。展览由北京空间画廊和北京大道融元文化发展有限公司主办，策展人朱小钧，展览持续到4月21日。
学术洗礼，另辟蹊径
七组年轻艺术家此次展览将是他们对于个人经验和文化记忆的视觉化呈现，在他们的作品中看不到上一代艺术家普遍追寻的显赫文化符号和重大社会场景，而代之以更为个人化、私密化的体验，他们的作品几乎不会有某种即视的现场感，即便有历史、社会文本的介入也要以混合、并置的形式给予调和，并以具有丰富绘画性的笔触给予精确的呈现。这些毕业于著名艺术学院的艺术家们皆受到良好的技术训练和学术洗礼，而又以开放的心态融会古今中外的艺术资源和理念思路，开辟出有别于主流学院艺术的新趋向。
描绘内心，撰写记忆
他们艺术小组将内心归结于古今交错的时空中孤独无依的人和物，薛堃把近乎废弃的工厂建筑的粗砺暴晒在今天流利精致的消费语境之下，宋若华试图和莫兰迪进行瓶瓶罐罐的静物对话，张文荣则用强健的笔力描绘挣扎的个人心灵场景，李易纹呈现的是悬浮在社会公共记忆和个人记忆之间的场景，高一斐以女性的视角呈现当代生活的孤寂，陈家业则用油画的笔触来追怀中国传统艺术图像和生活方式。
展览取名“绘心撰忆”，意在期望观者能意会这些绘者之心和所绘之象的碰触之微妙，编撰的记忆和被编码的记忆的纠合之复杂。
