The exhibition presents the villages’ people and sceneries. The paintings are the records of the loveliness and graciousness that only belong to the Villages of Russia.
Leo Tolstoy once said that, “village” is the soul of Russia. The abominable natural conditions have shaped the characteristics of the nation. Though suffering from the rugged environment, people soften the earth with their hands, heart and soul.
Born in the venerable Russian village, Tkachov Brothers’ works have been inspired by its simplicity and fortitude. Most of their works describe the honesty and simplicity of the laborers; and they passionately record everyday life of the Russian village.
Graduated from the Tkachove Brothers’ Studio, Chaynikov, like Tkachove Brothers, tried to discover the warmth within people. Filled with musicality and romanticism, his paintings expressed his endless love to the earth and his hometown. Like his mentors, he is passionate about the Russian laborers and earth.
托尔斯泰曾经说过,乡村是俄罗斯的灵魂。恶劣的自然环境塑造了俄罗斯民族的性格。尽管在严酷的环境下承受着苦难，他们怀揣着朴素的心灵，依靠自己的劳动和辛勤去软化了脚下的土地。
特卡乔夫兄弟生于俄罗斯的古老林区，那里的质朴刚毅对兄弟俩日后的创作影响深远。他们的作品中大多描绘农村劳动者的淳厚与朴实，满怀热情地记录下了俄国农村生活的气息和脉搏；师从特卡乔夫兄弟，柴尼科夫力图挖掘平凡中打动人心的角落。他的作品充溢着音乐性和浪漫主义的色彩，表现出对故乡和土地舒展的热情，不仅延续了特卡乔夫兄弟对于土地和劳动人民的热爱，也传承了兄弟们对于创作原则的坚持。
本次展览集中呈现出特卡乔夫兄弟与柴尼科夫笔下的乡村景致和农民生活。画中的一花一物、一颦一笑，都出于艺术家对乡野的依恋和感恩，纪录着每一个亲切的、朴实的、只属于俄罗斯乡野的表情。
